800-Pound Hog Struck and Killed on I-40 Saturday

A hog being transported by a pickup truck and trailer was struck and killed on I-40 Saturday morning. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports the trailer door opened near mile marker 284 traveling eastbound, causing the male boar hog to fall out. Bus Garage Shooting Case Goes Before Grand Jury Monday

A Cumberland County grand jury will convene Monday to hear the case of a man who fatally shot two people at the Cumberland County Bus Garage. Warren County Sees Highest Unemployment Drop in Region

Warren County experienced the highest unemployment drop for November 2018 as every county in Tennessee saw job growth. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports Warren County saw one of the largest unemployment decreases in the state at a 1.1 percent drop. A two-month investigation has led to the arrest of a man in connection with numerous thefts in the area. A Cookeville Police Officer placed on administrative leave will appear in court Tuesday on domestic and aggravated assault charges.

A Cookeville Police Officer facing assault charges against his wife will appear in court Jan. 8 in White County.
