CRMC Recognized for Organ Donation Efforts

Cookeville Regional Medical Center’s efforts in organ donation have brought them national recognition.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded the hospital a silver rating.

Cookeville Regional was one of 13 Tennessee hospitals to receive an award from HRSA based on its Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign. The award is based on the hospital’s recent awareness and registry campaigns to educate staff and patients about the need for organ, eye, and tissue donors.

A press release from Cookeville Regional indicates the hospital is one of 360 hospitals in the nation to receive a silver rating.

Cookeville Regional is one of 1,200 hospitals across the country to participate in the HRSA’s campaign.
