Workers at Monterey’s Perdue Plant are returning to work Monday after a fire at the facility Saturday. Monterey Fire Chief Kevin Peters said the fire was contained to the east wing of the building. Monterey Plant To Reopen Monday

The Monterey Perdue plant will open Monday morning after a Saturday afternoon fire damaged parts of the facility. Perdue Farms Director of Corporate Communications Diane Souder said the fire was mostly isolated to one department of the building. That department will be closed Monday.
