Monterey Plant To Reopen Monday

The Monterey Perdue plant will open Monday morning after a Saturday afternoon fire damaged parts of the facility.

Perdue Farms Director of Corporate Communications Diane Souder said the fire was mostly isolated to one department of the building. That department will be closed Monday.

Souder said the local fire department responded swiftly and extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the fire that began just after 4pm Saturday.
