Speedway has partnered with the Algood Police Department and Trinity Church for a local food drive Saturday. The Putnam County weekly grocery giveaway has been moved. Algood Looks To Add Garbage Truck in Next Budget

Algood is looking to add a third garbage truck to its fleet with a dual use vehicle. Porter Can Move Forward On Gas Station Talks

Putnam County Commissioners have once again given County Mayor Randy Porter approval to negotiate an easement for a Speedway Convenience Store. The Jefferson Avenue project would include entrances and exits onto Fairgrounds Street. The county will grant an option agreement to the company valued at $3,000. Power Outages Down To 400 Regionwide

Just over 400 outages remain in the Upper Cumberland Tuesday morning as crews continue the restoration efforts. 380 of those outages are in Overton County, according to County Executive Ben Danner.
