CRMC Covid Count Up To New High Of 21

Cookeville Regional’s number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital increased to 21 patients Monday. That sets a new high for hospitalizations at CRMC. Six of those patients are in intensive care, according to Director Of Public Relations Melahn Finley. Putnam County Covid Testing Moves Monday

The Putnam County Health Department will move Covid-19 testing to the Putnam County Fairgrounds starting Monday. Putnam County Building Permits Hit Another Record

Call June another record-setting month for Putnam County building permits. The county set an all-time record with 54 building permits totaling almost $8 million. Tractor Trailer Crash Blocks I-40 Saturday Night

A California man lost control of the tractor trailer he was driving Saturday night causing the vehicle to flip near mile marker 270. 79-year-old Jaswant Sandha was travelling westbound in the right lane and he negotiated a right curve and lost control. Putnam Expected To Make FEMA Submission Next Week

Putnam County officials expect to submit the final report on the March 3rd tornado to FEMA next week. Mayor Randy Porter said the report includes expenses of overtime hours and law enforcement work around $3 million. TBI Crime Report Shows Putnam County Decrease

A TBI crimes report released Wednesday Putnam County crime decreased 24.5 percent in 2019 from 2018. Reported crimes such as aggravated assault and vandalism declined last year. The Putnam County Budget Committee voted last night to send the new fiscal year budget to the commissioners for approval.
