A Monterey home lost an upstairs bedroom due to an electrical fire Sunday. Monterey Fire Chief Kevin Peters said his crew responded to the fire call at 613 N. Minor Smoke Inhalation After Crossville Life Care Center Fire

The Crossville Life Care Center caught on fire Tuesday resulting in two staff and three residents needing medical attention. The five people were transported to Cumberland Medical Center for minor smoke inhalation. The Crossville Fire Department quickly extinguished the small fire located in one of the nurses stations. Fentress Wildfire 87 Percent Contained

The Gouldstown Road wildfire in Fentress County is now 87 percent contained. Tennessee Department of Agriculture Forestry Division Public Information Officer Tim Phelps said the 1,000 acre fire burnt slow and crews were able to reinforce control lines.
