Pickett County sheriff’s deputies discovered a box of hand grenades and a meth lab during a drug investigation last week. A DeKalb County judge has sentenced a man for a church burglary that occurred earlier this year. 21-year-old Isaiah Sutherland entered a plea this week to one count of burglary and received a two year jail sentence. Cookeville Man Charged with Domestic Assault

Cookeville police officers have charged Joseph Love Webster, 31, with domestic assault. Officers were investigating a theft that had occurred in a wooded area off of Watagua Road yesterday. A Jamestown man faces attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges following an altercation on Sawmill Ridge Road. Jeremy J. Dalton, 39, is being held on $250,000 bond after stabbing Luther Byrd inside Byrd’s home. 160 full-time jobs will be created at Crossville’s Stonepeak Ceramics over the next five years.
