Several stores within the new Shoppes at Eagle Point have announced grand opening dates later this month. Algood Changes Christmas Parade Theme

The City of Algood will change their Christmas Parade theme after Cookeville’s parade was forced to change for copyright issues. The Baxter Board of Aldermen and Mayor voiced their opinions on TDOT saying a traffic light at their busiest intersection will have to wait until 2020. Oxycodone, Rifle Stolen from Cumberland County Home

The TBI arrested 28-year-old Shawn Boyd of Smith County following an investigation into him having sexual relations with a minor.

Cumberland County deputies are investigating a burglary that took place at a home on Smith Mountain Road Thursday morning. The homeowners, who were not home at the time of the burglary, reported someone had removed a screen from an unlocked window to enter the house. The Tennessee State Veterinarian reports six cases of horses being sickened by the West Nile Virus with at least one in Cumberland County. Hermitage Spring Elementary Remembering Harley Evans

11-year-old Harley Evans was a student at Hermitage Springs Elementary School in Clay County. Evans was killed after being shot at her home early Monday morning.

Faculty and students at Hermitage Springs Elementary School in Clay County are mourning the loss of 11-year-old Harley Evans. Evans was fatally shot at her home Monday by 29-year-old Jacob Snyder while her father, Justin Evans, and her father’s girlfriend suffered injuries. Over 11,700 Votes Cast in Putnam County Early Voting

Over 11,700 people have cast their votes for the 2018 midterm elections in Putnam County as early voting draws to a close.
