A two-car crash on South Willow Avenue sent a Baxter woman to the hospital with undisclosed injuries Wednesday. According to Cookeville Police, 60-year-old James Coulson, of Cookeville, was stopped in the left northbound lane in a 2006 Honda Element near the Stevens Street intersection. County Sheriff's Office arrested 56-year-old Jerry Davenport for violating the state sex offender registry.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office captured a wanted Crossville man for violating the sex offender registry. The Sheriff’s Office said Thursday they received several calls regarding Davenport and his whereabouts that ultimately led to a quick arrest.
