Paris Winery Opens New Location in Cookeville

Paris Winery has opened a new primary location in Cookeville after 10 years in West Tennessee.

Ruggero ‘Roger’ Ciarrocchi is the Cookeville winemaker and store owner at the new Paris Winery location. He and his wife began looking at downsizing their company and moving to the Upper Cumberland about five years ago.

“Being that I’m getting older, we were looking to kind of downsize, so my daughter agreed to take over the store which is now a satellite store in Paris, Tennessee,” Ciarrocchi said. “We came out here and happened to be driving by this great building on Spring Street. After a few times, we decided to make a phone call and make an agreement with the landlord and here we are.”

Ciarrocchi said Paris Winery offers a large selection with room to expand their offerings in the future.

“We have over 30 wines and [customers] can taste anything they’d like, which you wouldn’t be able to do in a grocery store or a liquor store,” Ciarrocchi said. “They can make the selection themselves. In the future, they’ll also be able to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine and maybe an appetizer.”

Ciarrocchi said the original Paris Winery store will remain open as a secondary location. The new store is located at 701 East Spring Street.
