Dump Truck Flips On Hawkins-Crawford Road

A dump truck overturned Tuesday morning along Hawkins-Crawford Road briefly pinning the driver inside. 40-year-old Travis Proffitt was driving the dump truck north on Hawkins-Crawford Road, between Baxter and Cookeville. Funding For Veterans Cemetery Back In Budget Proposal

Some $600,000 in state funding to acquire land for an Upper Cumberland Veterans Cemetery has been returned to the state’s proposed budget. Crossville Bond Escapee Captured Sunday

Crossville Police captured a man Sunday night who escaped from a bail bond recovery agent Friday. 25-year-old Joshua Dirscherl spent the weekend on the lamb after escaping around noon Friday near Woodmere Mall.
