Fentress Declares Opioid Crisis Nuisance

The Fentress County Commissioners took the next step in a lawsuit against prescription opioid manufacturers Monday night by declaring opioids a public nuisance. County Executive J. Cookeville Man Faces 12-Year Sentence For Rape

A Cookeville man will serve a 12-year sentence after pleading guilty to rape and aggravated kidnapping. 38-year-old Daniel James Bishop will serve the maximum sentence allowable by law for the offense. 250K In Grant Money Supports Putnam Recycling

More than 250 thousand dollars in grant money delivered to Putnam County Tuesday morning to help in recycling. Multiple grants from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation unveiled at Prescott Elementary and Middle School. Warren County Man Charged With Arson

A Morrison man allegedly set fire to a camper trailer in McMinnville Monday. The Warren County Sheriff’s Department in connection with the TBI arrested 18-year-old Roger Roach of Morrison. Paroled Murderer Found In Crossville

Crossville Police found a convicted murderer with an outstanding warrant hiding out in a Livingston Road location Sunday night. Officers investigating a theft of items from a vehicle found 64-year-old Kenneth Ray Phifer at 207 Livingston Road.
