Cumberland Schools To Open August 12

The Cumberland County School Board voted Friday night to move the first full day of school to August 12. Three extra days will be used by teachers to prepare for virtual learning. Crossville PD Reports Traffic Citation Scam

Crossville Police report fake emails are being sent to local residents alerting the recipient to a supposed traffic citation. The scam started Friday. According to police, the email said the citation must be paid within 72 hours. It includes a link to an “EasyPay Center” where recipients can pay. The email and the pay link are both fake. NY Woman Jailed For Crossville Woman’s Death

A New York woman has been jailed in Crossville for the July, 2018 death of a Cumberland County Woman. 59-year-old Diana Lynn Grosso of Otisville, NY charged with one count of Second Degree Murder. Truck Overturns At Cumberland Co Rest Stop

A North Carolina driver involved in a rollover crash at the Cumberland County rest area Wednesday morning. 24-year-old Alfred Thomas Correa tried to enter the westbound rest area around 9:15am. Cumberland Co Deputy Shot, Airlifted To Knoxville

A Cumberland County Sheriffs Deputy was airlifted to University of Tennessee Medical Center Saturday night after a shooting on Chestnut Hill Road. The deputy responded to a suspicious person call just after 7pm. The deputy exchanged gunfire with an unnamed suspect. The deputy was wounded on the upper right side.
