Human Services Seeking Cumberland Office Space

The Tennessee Department of Human Services is looking for office space in Cumberland County.

David Roberson is the Communications Director for the Department of General Services. He said the space will be used for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program.

“We’re looking for a facility of about 3,500 to 3,900 usable square feet,” Roberson said, “with space to accommodate 10 staff and 12 clients with associated parking to go along with it.”

Roberson said the office space must be inside Cumberland County, but state officials prefer it be located inside Crossville.

Roberson said the space needs to be secure and easily accessible for the clients and staff. A minimum of 22 parking spaces are required, including handicap parking to meet code requirements. The parking lot must be free, lighted, paved, and striped.

The deadline to submit a completed Lease Proposal Form is June 22.
