Cookeville Woman Killed In Pippin Road Crash

A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Cookeville woman Monday afternoon. The Tennessee Highway Patrol identified the deceased as 20-year-old Hope Long. State Trooper Injured While Working Crash

A State Trooper suffered injuries while investigating a crash in Putnam County Monday morning. The incident happened on Interstate 40 eastbound at the 270 mile marker. Officials said Trooper Michael Robertson had stopped to investigate a single-vehicle non-injury crash involving 26-year-old Kaci Scudder of Carthage. Cookeville Police have arrested a man for allegedly soliciting a teenage girl. 61-year-old Jimmy Lee Leonard faces two counts of solicitation of a minor by electronic means and a single count of soliciting a minor. A Cumberland County man recently lost a lot of money after sending $20,000 to a scammer. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said the man received a call from a woman posing as a DEA agent.
