Early Voting Begins For Sparta Sales Tax Referendum

Early voting got underway Friday for a referendum to increase Sparta’s sales tax. A Fentress County inmate allegedly overpowered a jailer and stole a vehicle from the sheriff’s office Thursday. Pickett County deputies arrested 32-year-old Stephanie M.
