Tractor Trailer Crash Reported In Cumberland County

Two Tractor trailers have crashed on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County. The crash reported around 1:15 p.m. between mile marker 304 and 305. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Sergeant Greg Tramel, one of the tractors lost its trailer during the crash. The loose trailer is reportedly upside down in the median. Commission To Interview Fentress Co. Sheriff Candidates Tonight

The Fentress County Commission will conduct interviews tonight for a permanent sheriff. Former sheriff Chucky Cravens resigned earlier this year after pleading guilty to federal charges. Cumberland Co. Employees Required To Direct Deposit Paychecks Starting July 1st

Man Stabbed In Fentress County Wednesday

The Fentress County Sheriff’s Department responded to a stabbing in Clarkrange yesterday. The incident happened at a home on Page Road around 3:45 p.m. Officers have determined that an argument began over drugs between 28-year-old Josh Fry and 38-year-old Michael Elam. A former DeKalb County Correctional Officer has avoided jail time after being charged with official misconduct two years ago. Truck Hauling Cows Crashes In Overton County

A tractor trailer carrying 87-head of cattle crashed in Overton County Wednesday morning. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 84 when a 2006 Peterbuilt tractor trailer lost control while traveling northbound.
