Two Airlifted Following Sunday Morning Crash

Two people suffered injuries following a single vehicle accident in DeKalb County yesterday. Officials say the accident happened around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 56 in the Shiney Rock area. The crash sent 51-year-old Tammy Gallant and 50-year-old Larry Rundle to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Highway 25 To Remain Closed Until August 1st

Smith County’s Highway-25 will remain closed until at least August 1st. The Tennessee Department of Transportation said crews will have to repair a rock fall mitigation project before the road can reopen. Domestic Dispute Forces Lock Down At Cumberland Medical Center

A domestic dispute involving a man armed with a firearm forced Crossville’s Cumberland Medical Center to go on lock down last night. Around 8:00 p.m. authorities responded to a home near the hospital where a dispute between a man and woman had escalated. Cookeville Approves $27.6 Million Budget On First Reading

The Cookeville City Council unanimously approved a $27.6 million budget on first reading last night. The budget did not include a property tax increase. Improve Act Will Fund Repairs For Two Clay Co. Bridges

Governor Bill Haslam’s Improve Act will include funding to repair two bridges in Clay County. The Transportation Coalition of Tennessee has announced that the bridge at Wet Mill Creek Road over Mill Creek will be repaired at a cost of $173,000. Portion Of Highway 25 In Smith Co. Closed Until Further Notice

A portion of Smith County’s Highway 25 will be closed in the Tanglewood Community until further notice. The closure coming after debris from a bluff struck and disabled a moving pickup truck Tuesday. An unidentified man suffered serious injuries after falling from the cliffs at Cummins Falls State Park Monday.
