Paving Begins On Monterey Rail Trail Extension

Monterey’s rail trail extension project is nearing completion. Monday Morning Crash In Overton Co. Injures Two Cookeville Residents

Two Cookeville residents suffered injuries during a single vehicle crash in Overton County this morning. The injured occupants identified as 77-year-old Roger Mabrey and 82-year-old Mary Elizabeth Cowman. Cookeville Man Arrested Following Sunday Night Pursuit

A Cookeville man faces charges of reckless endangerment and evading arrest following a Sunday night pursuit. Authorities have identified the subject as 29-year-old Curtis Reed. Reed was the driver of a red Mitsubishi eclipse when the chase started on Highway 111 northbound. McMinnville Police are investigating a series of break-ins at several downtown locations. The latest taking place at Home Town Reality. Another vandalism has occurred at Crossville’s Centennial Park. Park Manager Tammie French said someone has damaged the dugout next to the horseshoe pavilion causing about $300 in damage. An Overton County woman has died from injuries sustained in a Saturday Motorcycle crash on Highway 70 east in Cookeville.
