Cookeville Man Arrested After Strangling, Punching Girlfriend

A Cookeville man has landed behind bars for strangling his girlfriend and striking her in the face Sunday. Cookeville Police charged 24-year-old Levi Coty Stinson with aggravated assault Wednesday. Former Officer Allowed Contact With Assault Victim

A former Cookeville Police officer will be allowed to contact a victim he allegedly assaulted last December. Judge Gary McKenzie modified bond for Kyle Farley on Thursday, allowing peaceful contact between the former officer and his wife. Algood Council Purchases New Police Vehicles, Mower Head

Algood officials voted to purchase four new vehicles for the city Tuesday night. Airport Board Proposes Change To T-Hangar Lease Agreements

The Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Board has proposed a change that would require T-hangars to house “airworthy” aircraft. Cookeville Residents Charged With Animal Cruelty

An animal cruelty case has landed two Cookeville residents behind bars. 44-year-old Tara Neutzler and 53-year-old Donald Shoenthal face three counts of animal cruelty and one count of aggravated animal cruelty.
