Bids Received For Highway 56 Widening in Warren, DeKalb Counties

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has received four bids to widen Highway 56 from Warren County into Smithville. TDOT Spokeswoman Jennifer Flynn reports Jones Bros. Contractors in Mt. Two Clarkrange Funeral Homes Damaged By Storms

Two Clarkrange funeral homes suffered major damage after severe weather swept through Fentress County Friday. EMA Director James Bilbrey said Saturday both Mundy Funeral Home and Jennings Funeral Home were both damaged by apparent straight line winds. A Monterey man faces charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Thursday. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Doug Saylor for domestic assault and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
