Bridge Repair Closes Lane for I-40 Eastbound Traffic Saturday

Bridge repair will limit Interstate 40 eastbound traffic in Cumberland Saturday.   T-DOT contract crews will be repairing the mile marker 326 bridge beginning at 6:00 AM Saturday. Overton County’s Carr Creek Bridge project will break ground Tuesday. The new federally funded concrete bridge will stretch 220 feet with an expected April completion date. Twenty-seven T-DOT paving projects in the Upper Cumberland have been approved and prioritized for 2021.
