T-DOT has not changed the speed limit along the Highway 70 Corridor back after the March tornado. It will not be changed until the City of Cookeville completes a traffic study along the corridor. Livingston Sidewalk Project Set To Move Forward

Sidewalks along Livingston’s East Main and East Broad Streets will be repaired this summer. T-DOT approved the building of two new gateway monuments for the city of Sparta. Sparta Mayor Jeff Young said gateway monuments are basically welcome signs for cities. Jamestown Receives Grant to Improve Streets

The City of Jamestown has received a $125,000 dollar grant to begin improving downtown streets. Mayor Lyndon Baines said Jamestown hopes to use the funds for an infrastructure study in preparation to replace traffic lights installed in 1983. Bid Winner For Carr Creek Bridge Project

The Overton County Highway Commission has selected the bid winner for a Federal Off-System Bridge Replacement project at Carr Creek. Overton County Highway Superintendent James Norrod said Twin K Construction won the bid at around $1.6 million.
