The Tennessee Central Rail Trail Authority is seeking support from local municipalities for east to west trail expansion. Kayakers Being Saved Through Warren County River Rescue System

A Warren County Rotary Club continues its work to protect kayakers along the Barren Fork River and 100 miles of waterways. McMinnville Breakfast Rotary Club Member Neal Cox said location markers are along the river bank and bridges to tell people exactly where they are lost. State Paying Off $8.5 Million Railroad Loan For Putnam

An $8.5 million loan to keep railroad tracks in place and usable in Putnam County will be paid off by TDOT. Mayor Randy Porter said the decision came Friday. T-DOT hopes to award the Highway 56 overpass bridge repair project in the fall. The damage along Interstate 40 is from a truck striking a beam on the bridge at the Smithville exit several weeks ago.
