The city of Monterey completed the next step in connecting its city assets with walking trials and sidewalk. The Monterey Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted Monday night to increase water and sewer rates by five percent. The board approved the first ordinance reading 6-2. Three Arrested After High Speed Chase Thursday Night

Three suspects arrested Thursday night after a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended on Monterey’s Highway 70 North. Monterey Police Chief Bill Randolph said the vehicle drove through two spike strips before being stopped.
