Officers Find Meth Inside Man’s Anal Cavity Monday

A Baxter man faces charges after authorities found nearly ten grams of meth inside his anal cavity on Monday.

The Cookeville Police Department charged Brandon Luke Jones with introduction of contraband into a penal facility.

Officers had arrested the 37-year-old Jones after finding a pipe during a traffic stop at the North Willow Avenue Wendy’s. According to an arrest report, officers observed a plastic bag protruding from Jones’ anal cavity during a pat down at the Putnam County Jail.

The report said officers obtained a warrant to conduct a body cavity search at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. During that search, a physician found two plastic bags containing 9-grams of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Jones faces additional charges of tampering with evidence and manufacture, delivery, sell, or possession of meth.

Jones continues to be held at the Putnam County Jail on $35,500 bond. He will make an initial court appearance on Sep. 9.
