Trentham, Herron Get Permanent Principal Posts

Karen Trentham has been named the permanent Executive Principal at Cookeville High School.

Trentham took over as interim principal at Cookeville High School last August, just weeks after the school year began. She replaced Max Petett, who resigned for health and personal reasons. Trentham spent 15 years at Cookeville High School.

“I am so honored to be the Executive Principal at Cookeville High School,” Trentham said. “We have experienced both joy and tragedy this year at CHS, and we have done so together as a family. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in the future.”

Director of Schools Corby King also named Ben Herron the permanent principal at White Plains Academy. He took over in an interim role in November.

“Getting an opportunity to serve the families of White Plains is an incredible honor,” Herron said. “I have enjoyed my semester here learning the day-to-day routines and creating relationships with students, faculty, and staff.”
