The City of Algood will look at conducting its own dispatching service. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office currently conducts dispatching for Algood, Monterey and Baxter. Crossville Finalizes Blood Draw Contract with CMC

Crossville City Council has finalized a contract with Cumberland Medical Clinic allowing the hospital to conduct blood draws for city Police. The police department will pay between $14 and $17 to have CMC perform blood draws on suspects, assuming proper warrants are presented to medical staff. Pippin Road Crash Claims Life of Two Cookeville Teens

A single-car crash on Pippin Road claimed the lives of two Cookeville teens Friday. The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed Saturday 16-year-old Layton Proffitt and 17-year-old Leigh Anne Eldridge were involved in the crash. Sparta Woman Airlifted After Friday Morning Crash

A 24-year-old Sparta woman suffered head injuries following a one-vehicle crash in Cookeville Friday morning. Emergency services airlifted Latasha Cullum to Vanderbilt University Hospital for treatment.
