Sheriff’s Office Identifies Suspect, Victims in Cumberland County Deaths

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has arrested a suspect in connection with two deaths near Lake Tansi Tuesday. Sheriff Casey Cox confirmed 46-year-old John Patrick Fields, of Pikeville, faces two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Remote Area Medical To Offer Services in Cookeville

Remote Area Medical (RAM) will host a free clinic in Cookeville this weekend. Media Relations Specialist Robert Lambert said RAM came to Cookeville in 2018. “So last year we served 778 with either dental, vision, or medical care,” Lambert said. “That came to about $412,000 in free care. UCRA Board Approves 2019-2020 Fiscal Year Budget

The Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Board voted Tuesday to approve its 2019-2020 fiscal year budget. The budget will raise governmental contributions from Cookeville, Sparta, Putnam County, and White County slightly to help cover local grant matches for hangar projects within the next year. Shooting Victim Identified, Subject Arrested in Cumberland County

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a man in connection with a Tuesday night shooting that left one dead and two others wounded. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation identified the deceased victim as 23-year-old Makayla Manning. Authorities have not identified the two wounded victims who remain hospitalized in Knoxville.
