Cookeville Council Approves CRMC Bond Refinancing

The Coookeville City Council has granted Cookeville Regional Medical Center permission to refinance several bonds. A two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Crossville woman and injured two other people Wednesday. Authorities have secured indictments against two additional men in an ongoing Smith County homicide. The indictments charge 35-year-old James Murray and 38-year-old Tommy Grisham with Aggravated Robbery and Felony First-Degree murder in the April 23 death of Taylor Neusse. An Overton County judge has handed down a 37-year prison sentence to a child rapist. Earl Junior Pike, Jr. entered a guilty plea Wednesday to the offense of Rape of a Child and Aggravated Sexual Battery.
