Putnam Co. Clerk Employees All Test Negative

Employees of the Putnam County Clerk’s Office have all tested negative for COVID-19 Friday, according to County Clerk Wayne Nabors. That after an employee received a positive COVID test Thursday. SR 135 & 151 Repaving Begins

T-DOT contractors have begun the resurfacing of state route 151 through Clay and Jackson County as well as state route 135 in Clay County. Contractors are using lane closures and flaggers to assist with traffic flow. Wide loads should use an alternate route over the course of the construction. About 30 acres north of Neal Street’s Honda Dealership could be used for residential development. Tennessee Tech’s graduate program applications increase by 61 percent since 2019. College of Graduate Studies Dean Mark Stephens said the biggest increase has been in the Colleges of Education and Business. White County is expecting to receive a new ambulance, automated CPR devices, a portable ventilator and power cots to boost emergency services.
