Maddle Appeal On Drug Conviction Denied

The State Court Of Criminal Appeals denied the appeal Wednesday of a Putnam County man sentenced to 15 years in prison on drug charges. A Putnam Country jury found Eddie Maddle guilty in 2018 on possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine. Maddle asked the Court of Appeals to overturn the conviction on four issues. Livingston Shared Sales Tax Revenue Exceeds Projections

Livingston has received just over $300,000 in shared sales tax revenue, almost doubling the estimated amount for the past fiscal year. Local Officials Request Signage Under I-40 Overpass

T-DOT has placed signs saying, “No sales or soliciting on state right-of-way,” under the Cookeville I-40 overpass on Jefferson Avenue. That after local municipalities made the request. The State Board of Education has begun a review of Overton County teacher Mark Lee’s teaching license. Overton County Schools submitted its investigation of Lee to the state. The Putnam County Planning Commission delayed a vote on a 12-lot subdivision off Double Springs Road Tuesday night.
