Water Work On Willow Until August 4

Cookeville’s Willow Avenue will have some construction for the next few weeks. Cookeville Water Department representative Matthew Phillips said the department has a contractor replacing water lines in the area. Work will be done from Jackson Street to 12th Street. A Putnam County lawyer’s law office has been suspended by the state Supreme Court. Albert Fitzpatrick Officer III was ordered not to accept new clients and to stop representing existing clients by Aug. 11. Officer was censured by the Supreme Court July 7. Man Wanted In Fentress Arrested In Arkansas

A man wanted in Fentress County has been arrested in Arkansas. Jorge Viera, 34, is charged with three counts of rape of a child. He was arrested Saturday in Arkansas. In a statement, the Fentress County Sheriff’s Department said it will file paperwork to extradite Viera back to Fentress County to face the charges. No other information has been released.
