Putnam Committee Passes Short-Term Rental Regs

The Putnam County Planning Committee approved on Monday regulations for short-term rental properties (STRP). Puckett Gets 10-Year Sentence For Child Pornography

A Granville man will spend 10 years in prison for possessing child pornography. 39-year-old Winston Alexander Puckett pleaded guilty in DeKalb County Criminal Court Monday to sexual exploitation of a minor and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. Sparta Man Strikes Victim With Rock

A Sparta man has landed behind bars after striking a man with a rock Sunday. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office charged 48-year-old Robert Guidara with a single count of aggravated assault. Monterey received it’s $1 million capital outlay note Friday afternoon. The loan will provide funding for paving at least five roads and addressing a stormwater drainage project in town. Cookeville Traffic Stop Nets Over Two Ounces Of Meth

Two people from Cookeville face charges after police found more than two ounces of meth Wednesday. The Cookeville Police Department charged Elizabeth Ann Lett and Kevin Lee Coin with manufacture, delivery, sell, and possession of methamphetamine. Livingston Applying For Grant To Help Downtown Properties

The Livingston Downtown Revitalization Committee will apply for a Commercial Facade Improvement Grant next month. A Crossville man suffered serious injuries when a vehicle struck his motorcycle on Highway 127 North Wednesday evening. A man suffered injuries after a homemade device exploded at his Macon County home Thursday. The incident happened just after midnight on Rocky Mound Road in Westmoreland.
