Cookeville Traffic Stop Nets Over Two Ounces Of Meth

Two people from Cookeville face charges after police found more than two ounces of meth Wednesday.

The Cookeville Police Department charged Elizabeth Ann Lett and Kevin Lee Coin with manufacture, delivery, sell, and possession of methamphetamine.

Officers came in contact with the couple after conducting a traffic stop on Dodson Branch Road for a seat belt violation.

An arrest report said officers searched the vehicle and located approximately 2.8 ounces of a white crystalline substance. The vehicle also had a set of digital scales, several baggies, and an additional three grams of the same substance.

The report indicates that Lett has a pending felony from June 24. She remains behind bars at the Putnam County Justice Center on $30,000 bond.

Coin left the jail facility after posting his $10,000 bond.
