This Week: Algood City Council Discusses New Soccer Complex

Algood’s City Council will discuss a new indoor soccer complex this week.

The city would partner with the Joseph Warlick Memorial Foundation to put a new complex at the old Algood baseball field. The complex would also include a walking track with a net to protect walkers from stray soccer balls. The council meets at 6:00pm on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Overton County Commission and Byrdstown Aldermen meet at 5:00pm. The White County Commission and Pickett County Board of Education will meet at 6:00pm on Monday.

The Upper Cumberland Regional Airport Board will get an update on hangar construction when they meet Tuesday at 5:30pm. Also Tuesday, Celina’s Aldermen will meet at 6:00pm. The Overton County Board of Education meets Tuesday at 6:30pm.

The Van Buren County School Board is meeting on Wednesday at 5:30pm to discuss a sick day donation policy proposal for the school system, as well as having a presentation of school improvement plans for Spencer Elementary and Van Buren County High School.

The Highlands Residential Services Commission is meeting to consider its fiscal year budget on Thursday at 12:00pm.

The Sparta Aldermen meet at 5:00pm on Thursday. Cookeville City Council meets at 5:30pm.
