The Monterey Depot Museum Caboose got a new coat of paints thanks to two volunteers stepping up. Monterey Depot Historical Society Volunteer Larry Vaden said he and Jimmy Whitaker heard there was a need to repaint and the two offered their services. Monterey Pledges Funding To Host A Country Concert

The town of Monterey has pledged $30,000 to go towards a concert coming this fall. The Board of Aldermen approved the expenditure in a special called meeting Thursday night. Monterey has proposed new employee policies that would limit the mayor’s authority over personnel decisions. PCSO Arrested Man Responsible For 155 Dead Cattle In Monterey Area

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the man responsible for more than 100 deceased cattle in a Monterey animal cruelty case. A Monterey juvenile has been charged with driving without a license and insurance and due care after a two car accident Wednesday.
