Body Found And Identified In Center Hill Lake Wednesday

A body was found and identified in Center Hill Lake near the Hickey Boat Ramp in Putnam County Wednesday. Sheriff Eddie Farris said TWRA agents were on a training mission on the lake when they discovered the body of 40-year-old Spencer Harville floating in the water. State Issues Fish Consumption Advisory At Center Hill Lake

The state announced a precautionary consumption advisory Monday for fish caught at Center Hill Lake because of high mercury levels. The advisory specifically covers black bass such as largemouth, spotted, and smallmouth bass. Cookeville Water Seeks Funding For Water Plant Expansion

The Cookeville Water Department has applied for funding to expand capacity at its Center Hill Lake water treatment plant. Community Development Partners is assisting the city with the $17.5 million EPA loan application.
