Cumberland Animal Shelter Exceeds Fundraising Goal For Beds

The Cumberland County Animal Shelter has exceeded its fundraising goal to get dogs new beds. Director Andrea Gaskins said $780 was the goal but over $900 was raised, allowing for two extra beds and toppers to be purchased. A stolen truck plowed into a gas pump at a Sparta station late Saturday afternoon causing an explosion and fire. An investigation underway into the death of a White County man Friday after he allegedly gained entry into a Doyle home. 48-year-old Landry Brady Adkison entered the home on Tennessee Avenue around 2:30am.
