An invasive species of fish known as Asian Carp still threatens Middle Tennessee waters. Although the species mainly resides in West Tennessee, the TWRA has documented Asian Carp in Old Hickory Reservoir. Storms Bring Down Several Trees In Jackson County

Wednesday afternoon thunderstorms brought down several trees in Jackson County. Storm Knocks off Carthage First Baptist Church Steeple

A severe thunderstorm knocked the steeple off of the First Baptist Church in Carthage earlier today. Workers reported that they did not hear the steeple fall during the storm. Lower Lake Level Could Provide Maintenance Opportunities For Crossville Residents

TBI Agents Investigating Carthage Officer-Involved Shooting

A man died early Wednesday morning after being shot by a Carthage police officer outside Smith County Hospital. Officials have identified the deceased suspect as 25-year-old Joseph Robbins.
