The Crossville City Council has granted approval to sale water to the West Cumberland Utility District. The city will be selling water to the utility at the current wholesale rate of $3.88 per 1,000 gallons. No one was injured after a car crashed into Express Footwear on Interstate Drive Friday morning. The accident occurred about 9 a.m. Cookeville Police Lt. Bobby Anderson said crews responded quickly. Search Continues For Missing Woman In Cumberland County

The search for a missing woman in Cumberland County continues today. County authorities said 31-year-old Shanin Leedora Mehle went missing Tuesday after leaving a residence around 2:00 p.m. Around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday authorities located Mehle’s vehicle abandoned in front of a driveway on Millstone Mountain.Her cell phone and other personal property were found inside the vehicle. Distracted Driving Enforcement Issues Citations

The THP’s distracted driving enforcement netted a bunch of citations, but only one for distracted driving. The THP said officers issued 17 citations and 8 warnings for seat belt usage, three citations for child restraint violations and one citation for texting and driving. Smithville Wastewater Plant Upgrades Complete

Smithville’s Waste Water Treatment Plant upgrades have been completed. Work beganon the $2.7 million project last year. The refurbished plant could now treat 8 million gallons of wastewater daily. Crossville Mulling Health Insurance Change

A proposal by Crossville City Manager Greg Wood could allow the city to reduce overall health insurance costs. Wood’s plan calls for increasing city employee deductibles to save money then splitting the difference, leaving employees with only a $1,000 deductible to pay.
