DeKalb County residents reported structure damage following a round of severe weather Tuesday morning. Livingston Mayor Curtis Hayes says four liquor store applications have been submitted since the city began accepting them last month.

Monterey Approves Bid For New Shed

Monterey’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a bid for a new work shed at the city’s public works department Monday. Smithville Woman Injured In Sunday Evening Crash

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says charges are pending after a Smithville woman fell asleep at the wheel and crashed her vehicle Sunday night. A grand jury  indicted an Algood man on an aggravated animal cruelty charge Monday. The Algood Police Department reports Corey Marc Mullins was charged after beating his dog to death.
