Woman Arrested After Leaving Children At Algood Park

A Cookeville woman has landed behind bars for allegedly drinking alcohol and leaving four children at Algood Park. The Algood Police Department charged 28-year-old Juana Bartolome Miguel with child abuse and neglect Monday. The Putnam County Commission approved a new budget Monday with a 19.6-cent property tax increase. The $2.94 tax rate provides a boost to school safety by funding five school resource officers.
