Cookeville Man Pleads Guilty To Counterfeit Charge

A Cookeville man pleaded guilty to manufacturing counterfeit currency in federal court Tuesday. The U.S. Attorney’s office states Chadwin Greenwood, 33, created counterfeit currency by converting legitimate $10 bills to counterfeit $50 bills. Vol State Community College officials said they’re not affected by the newly-reinstated travel ban. Spokesman Eric Melcher said students from 20 countries study at Vol State’s various campuses.
