Macon County Woman Accused of Filing False Report

An investigation by TBI special agents has led to the indictment of a Macon County woman accused of filing a false sexual assault report. In December 2016, Elizabeth Suddarth, 24, reported a Jamestown man sexually assaulted her at his home. TBI special agents started their investigation in January. High Speed Causes I-40 Two-Vehicle Crash

A two-vehicle crash took place this morning on I-40 West near mile marker 288. Kathy M. Fannon, 81, in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu failed to slow down. Cookeville To Close North Washington Avenue Lane Wednesday

The Cookeville Department of Water Quality Control will close North Washington Avenue Northbound to one lane on Wednesday, May 30. The closure affects drivers from  Broad Street to Boyd Street. Cumberland County School Board Moves Savings for Bus Garage Repair

Local All-In Futbol Club was accepted into the Tennessee Soccer Association. Davis Draper directs coaching at the All-In Futbol Club. Motorcycle Wreck Sends Two to Cookeville Regional Hospital

A motorcycle wreck on Garrison Road in Jackson County sent two to Cookeville Regional Hospital. Driver Jeremiah Houchins, 37, and passenger Caressa Houchins, 45, were traveling southbound on Garrison Road. According to the report, Houchins lost control of the motorcycle and laid it down on the right side. Ground EMS transported the driver and passenger to Cookeville Regional Hospital to treat injuries. Motorcyclist Killed in Warren County Crash

A two-vehicle crash took the life of a motorcyclist today in Warren County. Motorcyclist Bruce Wheatley, 71, died in the two-vehicle crash. Wheatley was traveling westbound on State Highway 21. Clay County Sets Out Crosses to Honor Deceased Veterans

Clay County placed crosses around the square Thursday to represent deceased Clay County veterans. The square holds 540 white crosses. Each cross has a different name on the front and back. Last month, Waldo Vasquez responded to a Pulse Point notification and saved a Texas man in cardiac arrest.
