Crossville City Council Announces Contest Winners

At the November City Council meeting, Crossville Mayor James Mayberry announced the November Student of the Month. The winner, Brandon Dudding, is a fifth grader at Martin Elementary School. Crossville City Manager Gives Report to City Council

During Tuesday’s Crossville City Council meeting, City Manager Greg Wood delivered his monthly report. The police department issued 79 citations during the month of October; they logged 87 offenses and made 151 arrests. They reported three juvenile citations and nine juvenile arrests. City Council Approves Measure Regarding Blood Samples

Cumberland Medical Center will begin processing DUI blood samples in an agreement with the City of Crossville. Crossville City Council approved the agreement during their meeting Tuesday evening. Under terms of the agreement, Crossville Police must present hospital personnel with a valid, legal search warrant before taking samples. Multiple Meth Arrests Reported Over Long Weekend

This past weekend, Cumberland County deputies made five drug-related arrests stemming from four separate traffic stops. Late Friday night, deputies charged 45-year-old Melody Jo Jones of Crossville with felony meth possession, felony evidence tampering and resisting arrest after a traffic stop on Plateau Road. Property Theft Reported in Cumberland County

Late Monday night, Cumberland County deputies were called to a home on Deep Water Road for a theft report. The homeowner reported waking up and seeing the interior light on in his car. Horse Thieves Strike in Cumberland County

Cumberland County deputies are investigating the recent theft of two horses from a Coppett Road property. The homeowner reported having seen horse tracks leading from his property to an adjacent abandoned property.
