Warren County Crash Leaves One Person Dead Thursday

One person has died and three others suffered injuries following a two vehicle crash in Warren County Thursday. Officials said the crash happened on the 55 bypass near the Angels Bridge. Overton County authorities have arrested a former resident and member of the Rickman Volunteer Fire Department. The TWRA has charged a Carthage man for illegally killing a deer. 38-year-old David Crawford is accused of shooting a 9 point buck deer without a muzzleloader license and placing bait around his hunting blind. Cumberland Co. Solid Waste Recognized For Waste Reduction

The Cumberland County Commission on Monday recognized the county solid waste department for significant reduction in landfill waste. The state has mandated a 25-percent per capita reduction in Class-1 waste. In the latest report, Cumberland County has reduced Class-1 landfill waste by 71-percent.
