Stores Fail Alcohol Compliance Checks

Four Putnam County stores have failed alcohol compliance checks conducted by the Cookeville Police Department and Power of Putnam anti-drug coalition.

The stores that failed include Gulf on East Spring Street, Beverly Hill Mart, Super Truck and Travel on Highway 111 and Jackson Mart on West Jackson Street.

Each store that failed did not ask the customer for proper legal requirements to purchase alcohol.

Each store will appear in general sessions court and have their business permit license reviewed by Cookeville’s Alcoholic Beverage Board.
