The Putnam County Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Officials said it happened at a saw mill in the Livingston Highway area. Crossville Man Charged With DUI Following Crash In Cumberland Co.

Authorities have charged a Crossville man with DUI following a wrong-way crash on Interstate 40 in Crossville today. Officials said the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. near mile marker 316. A vehicle crash has backed up traffic on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County. The crash first reported around 12:30 p.m. near westbound mile marker 316. Cookeville Police arrested a sex offender from Hawkins County last week after he tried fleeing the state for Salt Lake City Utah. Rescue Mission Surpasses Fundraising Goal

The Cookeville Rescue Mission’s Sound of Hope holiday bell ringing event surpassed it’s fundraising goal of $100,000. UCHRA Awarded $3 Million Grant For New Complex

The Tennessee Department of Transportation has awarded the Upper Cumberland Human Resources Agency a $3 million grant. The funding will be used for the agency to construct a new transit and administrative complex on Highway 111 in Putnam County.
